ACCOUNT MANAGER

Position Reports To: Sales Manager

Basic Function: The Account Manager’s role is to develop strong relationships with a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Essential Functions:

  •  On the road / at the client technical sales person
  •  Develop and maintain relationships with dealers
  •  Find new opportunities, develop new business and bring in new dealers
  •  Research and collect information on projects
  •  Actively and successfully manage the sales process including planning, prospecting & cold calling, investigation & development, presentation, negotiation and closing
  •  Facilitate and liaise with Pre-Sales with regards to system designs and system specifications. Specifying equipment to match applications consisting of any/all the company’s product offering
  •  Develop and deliver sales presentations/demos/proposals and close sales in a professional and effective manner
  •  Arrange training, Arrange product updates, Arrange loan equipment
  •  Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction / after sales service
  •  Maintain a working knowledge of products and services and an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect the Audio-Video market
  •  Active involvement with product roadshows, open days and exhibitions.
  •  Resolution of problems or issues that may arise between Electrosonic and assigned portfolio of clients.
  •  Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings where required
  •  Performs other various duties as assigned

Knowledge / Experience:

  •  The ability to grasp and understand the fundamentals of specialized Electronic equipment in order to sell and offer support to a dealer infrastructure.
  •  Previous sales / business development experience in a technical sales position.
  •  Electronic/IT qualification would be an advantage
  •  AV Industry training and experience would be advantageous.
