Riaan van der Westhuizen is the “go-to guy” for everything technical at Electrosonic SA – has been with us since November 2015. Riaan has a rich background in IT and now an expert in ProAV. With certifications in Duxbury Networking, SAP, MCSE, TEFL, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Teams, Riaan's technical expertise is broad and deep.

He began his career by founding his own IT company before being recruited into a bigger IT company, where he and later grew into his role as IT Manager. Seeking new challenges, Riaan transitioned into the ProAV industry, where he has specialized in Kramer technologies while continuing to assist staff with IT issues. Throughout his career, Riaan has gained monumental technical experience and played a crucial role in completing well-known AV projects. Notably, he has pioneered Kramer control integrations, such as combining touch control into MTR solutions and implementing PIR solutions for presence detection and theme recall.

Riaan values building strong relationships, both with colleagues and customers, and is dedicated to providing professional service. Known for his calm demeanour and positive attitude, he believes that no matter the challenge, the right mind-set can turn any situation around. Committed to his work, Riaan goes beyond the 8-5 schedule, ensuring every project is completed to the highest standards.
