CHRIST EMBASSY CHURCH, RANDBURG
Martin Stagebar 54 inspirational choice for house lighting.
Electrosonic's relationship with Christ Embassy Church in Randburg was initiated in 2007 when Pastor Milton, who was then in charge of the church's lighting, sought a reliable supplier to install top quality lighting equipment for TV broadcasting purposes.
Electrosonic's relationship with Christ Embassy Church in Randburg was initiated in 2007 when Pastor Milton, who was then in charge of the church's lighting, sought a reliable supplier to install top quality lighting equipment for TV broadcasting purposes.
Electrosonic supplied and installed Electron 12-way dimmers, lighting bars and 8 x Quartzcolour Bambino 2kW TV lights, as well as a Compulite D-lite control desk. A year later, the church again approached Electrosonic for a solution to the house lighting. The requirement was for house lights that could be controlled and dimmed, but the existing fixtures were the high bay type and not suitable.
Following a demonstration by Electrosonic of various options for house lights, the Martin Stagebar 54 was deemed perfect for the application and venue. Deciding factors were its low power consumption, 36 000 hours of lamp life, a broad range of colour mixing abilities and no need to change colour gels because the Stagebars work with LEDs. In addition, no-heat radiation added to the suitability of the fitting as house lights.
Head Pastor Ose, Pastor Tayo and Pastor Mighty were highly impressed with the quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and low maintenance aspects of the lights, and promptly placed an order for 72 x Martin Stagebar 54, 6 x MAC 250 Washes and 2 x MAC 575 Kryptons.
The Stagebars and the MAC 250 Washes are used to light the audience and create a dynamic, colourful and inspiring atmosphere for the congregation. The MAC 575 Kryptons are used in conjunction with the previously supplied TV lighting for effects and for highlighting performers on the stage.
"We completed the installation in two weeks", said Robbi Nassi of Electrosonic. "As always, it was a pleasure to work with Christ Embassy Church and we look forward to our continued relationship."
