CHRISTIE M SERIES SCOOPS TOP AV INDUSTRY AWARD

The new range of Christie’s M Series projectors received a great deal of attention at its European debut at the ISE Show in Amsterdam earlier this year.
At the pre-show Technology InAVation Awards gala dinner, hosted by leading integration title InAVate, it was voted ‘Most InAVative Display Product For Commercial Use’ by an independent panel of judges. Christie’s Director of Product Management for Business Products, George Tsintzouras, was on hand to receive the award.

The competition was open to all global AV technology manufacturers who had released products that were commercially available throughout the EMEA market place within the 2008 calendar year.

InAVate editor, Chris Fitzsimmons, said, “More than 180 products were entered into this year’s awards programme. The 66 finalists within the 11 categories generated more than 12 000 individual industry votes in just eight weeks to decide on the winners. The judging panel was particularly impressed by the technological steps taken regarding the environmental credentials of the M Series.  Reducing the energy consumption of both the fan and optical engine and increasing the lifetime of the lamps were both key considerations.”

The M Series sets a new benchmark for reliability, versatility and low coast of ownership in the high-end pro AV projector class. A flexible and efficient family of 3-chip DLP projectors, the projectors are built on a dual-lamp mercury platform with extreme feature-rich functionality.  With a total of six new models, the projectors range from 5 000 ANSI lumens to 9 500 ANSI lumens and include two resolutions – SX+ and HD.

George Tsintzouras commented:  “We are thrilled with this accolade.  We listened to our customers and worked hard to develop a product that not only meets the demands of today’s sophisticated pro AV applications, but also raises the bar in the marketplace.”

“We have offered an unprecedented number of standard features in this Series with no additional hardware or software required. In addition to the new intelligent Lens System, we have added embedded warp capabilities, optical colour space expansion, an easy-to-use web interface, high-end electronics, dynamic iris, multi-window processing, automatic shut-off, and move. The feedback from our partners has been tremendously positive and it is exciting to hear that we have hit the mark in terms of what they want”.
