Crestron TPS-6X Wins Best Control Product Award
The winners of the EMEA InAVation Awards were announced beginning of February at the annual integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2009) banquet in Amsterdam.
Among the winners, the Crestron TPS-6X Isys Wireless Touchpanel was recognised by the industry as the “Most InAVative Control Product For Residential Use.” The TPS-6X is a slim, lightweight touchpanel designed for speed and versatility. While docked, TPS-6X is a wired Cresnet or Ethernet panel that displays full-motion video: off the dock, it is a wireless 2-way 2.4 GHz RF with backlit engraving that makes it easy to read in variable lighting conditions. All global AV manufacturers that released product made commercially available throughout the EMEA + market place within the 2008 calendar year were eligible. More than 180 products were entered in this year’s awards program.
Sixty-six finalists in 11 categories generated over 12 000 individual industry votes. This is the fourth award for the TPS-6X, which was released July 2008. Despite harsh weather conditions, the Crestron booth was packed with enthusiastic attendees who were impressed with all the new products and technologies introduced this year. Highlights of the show included the new award-winning ADMS (Adagio Digital Media System), Crestron iServer and the TPS-6X touchpanel. The new MPC room controllers and Crestron Green Light; environmental control solutions were also drawing huge crows. The most overwhelming response at ISE was the revolutionary Crestron DigitalMedia.
DigitalMedia is the only complete, integrated solution that manages, controls and distributes all analogue and uncompressed HD digital content over twisted pair or fiber. The core of a Crestron DigitalMedia (DM) system consists of matrix switchers, repeaters and receivers. Flexible and modular, DM matrix switchers accept virtually every type of signal and transmit them long distance as digital DM signals. Built-in exclusive Quickswitch technology pre-authorises HDCP keys and maintains a constant handshake for continuous, glitch-free HD switching.
