ELECTROSONIC SA EXHIBITS AT GRAND DESIGNS 2012
Grand Designs Live 2012, brought to you by DSTV, was held from the 25th to the 27th of May at the Coca-Cola Dome. This is the third year it has been held in South Africa, and for the second year running, Electrosonic SA was there to showcase the latest trends in home automation.
'The House of the Future' has become a stand-out feature at Grand Designs Live and offers an insight into how technology is set to change the way we live. Once again Electrosonic SA sponsored 'the House of the Future' and used the stand as an opportunity to show how Crestron streamlines and simplifies technology features to offer the ultimate lifestyle of comfort and convenience.
The 'House' was set up so that with a single touch of a button the lights dimmed, the shades
closed, the LED TV turned on, and a movie started playing.
The stand was equipped with the latest multi-room audio and full HD distribution system. Crestron's Digital Media allows a homeowner to play content where and when they want it, without compromising resolution and quality.
A number of touch panels were installed to unify the control of all devices, systems, and technology into one simple graphic interface.
With electricity prices on the rise it was little wonder that Crestron's Green Light lighting solutions received a lot of attention. Green Light helps to conserve energy and lower costs by unifying all environmental systems for intelligent management and control.
The Crestron stand allowed visitors to try out equipment and ask questions about home automation and technology trends.
Judging by the huge interest in the stand it was clear that many South Africans are excited by the prospect of using technology to improve their living environment.
