KRAMER CONFERENCE 2014
By Jason Johnstone (Kramer Product Manager)
Spring! That time of the year when the annual Pan-European Kramer Seminar is held. This year the gathering took place in Aranjuez, Spain.
This beautiful little town on the outskirts of Madrid was the setting for the conference, which drew one hundred delegates from all of Kramer Electronics’ European and African offices. Bruce Genricks (Managing Member) and I represented South Africa on this three-day seminar.

The idea behind these annual Kramer seminars is to mix up the delegates from the various offices and place them in separate break-away sessions. During these sessions each product manager, from each of the Kramer Electronics product categories, runs through the latest product offerings.
This year we were fortunate to discuss, and gain insights into, the Kramer Electronics roadmap for the future. We also had the privilege of getting hands-on experience on all the new products, most of which will only be seen in public for the first time at InfoComm in June 2014 in Las Vegas.
After the break-away sessions we were privy to Dr Kramer’s famous Look into the Future speech, where he makes his predictions about the prospects of AV, points out new technologies on the horizon, and predicts where Kramer Electronics will be in the future.
Of course, at the end of each day, Kramer Electronics treated us to dinner at various venues around Aranjuez.
The Pan-European Seminars are always fantastic to attend, as they allow for so much information sharing between offices and suppliers. This ultimately leads to more innovative products for our end-users.
