Cool Music Invests in Obsidian NX1 Console and NX-K Programmer Keypad
Event and Broadcasts specialist company Cool Music Productions, and longtime M-Series console user, recently upgraded to a brand new Obsidian NX-1 Desk with the NX-K Keypad.
Jurie Kruger from Cool Music Productions initially invested in a Martin M2Go way back in 2012 and Bruce Schwartz still remembers travelling to Middleburg late one afternoon to assist with the first show. The desk served them well and Cool Music Productions then added a M-Touch along the way. But as all hardware is superseded by software advancements the time came to re-invest in the latest technology. For Roelof Kruger who is now spearheading the management of Cool Music and after engaging with Electrosonic Control Specialist Bertus Roux, the Obsidian NX1 with the familiar Onyx software was a natural choice for him and his right hand lighting guru Oscar Chauke.
Obsidian Control Systems’ NX series is new generation of lighting consoles with a full feature set of Motorized Faders, Touch Screen interface and 4 onboard DMX outs. This amazing mid-size console is unrivalled in value vs features vs size for small to medium events. Along with the onboard Dylos Pixel mapper this makes a for a truly versatile console for modern day multiplefixture events.
Roelof added “It is always a pleasure to work with good quality equipment and guys who understand our needs. Working in live events is a totally different ballgame compared to theatre, etc. Electrosonic understand this and have always given us incredible support to ensure we can deliver our services beyond our clients' expectations. We look forward to many years of seamless productions with the NX-1.”
Electrosonic SA wishes Roelof and Oscar many happy shows with your desk.
