DAINFERN COLLEGE GETS LIGHTING UPGRADE

After receiving a lead from Keystone Gear, Electrosonic set up a meeting with Nick Parker from Dainfern College to discuss and upgrade of the school hall.

The college already had some older Strand dimmers and an analogue control desk.  As the hall was being used more and more for different applications the existing system was no longer suitable for what was needed.  Electrosonic, never one to discard good already working equipment, suggested to Nick that the control desk be upgraded to a more modern DMX unit and that in order to continue to use the Strand dimmers a Demux unit be installed.

A couple of days later an order was given for the upgrade and that included all the bells and whistles!

The Electrosonic team got cracking with the manufacture of a second lighting bar for the hall and installation commenced shortly thereafter.  The installation consisted of an additional Strand 6 pack dimmer, Strand Demux unit,  Strand 200 Series control desk, two lighting bars, additional cabling, 10 Parcans and 2 Selecon Profiles.

When Nick called after the installation he commented it was brighter in the hall than outside and that he was ecstatic at how efficient the installation went and that now they had a professional lighting system that was flexible and useable enough to cope with whatever was called for in the hall.
