ELECTROSONIC IS THE NEW DISTRIBUTOR FOR ADB LIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES IN SOUTH AFRICA

ADB Lighting Technologies has a long and established history in South Africa and with this in mind ADB Lighting Technologies appointed Electrosonic SA as their new distributor as from January 2011.  Dirk van Nieuwenhuysen, Sales Manager for Africa, visited South Africa early January 2011 for discussions with Electrosonic.

After a whistle stop tour and a visit to old friends and places, the deal was signed.  ADB products are on the way and the launch of ADB under the Electrosonic banner will take place during the first quarter of 2011.

ADB Lighting, originally founded in Belgium in 1920 by Adrien de Backer, operated as a family business until 1987 when it was acquired by the Siemens Group.  In 2002, as a result of a management buy-out, Christian Leonard, then general Manager of ADB-TTV France, backed by a group of private and institutional investors, took over control of the whole ADB-TTV Group and very rapidly restructured and streamlined the operation.

ADB Lighting manufactures and supplies high performance, high quality products and services for professional applications in the staging and studio lighting industries.
The company also manufacturers and develops all key components of stage or studio lighting equipment - fixed and motorised luminaries, dimmers, control desks, networks and motorised suspensions.
