Enterstage Africa’s Gig in Namibia with MARTIN Mac Aura

The recent Freightliner truck launch in the sand dunes at the Amphitheatre in Swakopmunt, Namibia, was an evening event dramatically lit by 12 Martin MAC Auras.  The fixtures lit the dunes, guest area and trucks as they entered the Amphitheatre.

Freelance lighting engineer, Gary Sam, was contracted for the project and used a six projector blend to cast the launch video onto the dunes, projecting an image of approximately 70 metres wide.

A further 16 Martin MAC101s were used to light the dunes, and eight MAC101 CTs worked well as ‘mini searchlights’, and could be seen from 5 km away.

Thanks to Martin and Gary Sam, the Freightliner launch in the darkness of the Namibian desert came alive with light and proved an enormous success!
