GEARHOUSE SA COMPLETES VIPER HAT-TRICK – CAPE TOWN GET MAC VIPER PROFILES

Gearhouse Durban were the first adopters of the MAC Viper Profile in the Gearhouse group when they acquire 12 profiles. Based on the positive feedback from Durban, the Johannesburg branch took a bold step and added 60 Viper Profiles as their workhorse profile. Almost a year later Gearhouse Cape Town completed the hat trick when they started phasing out some of the more tired MAC 2000 Profiles and switching to Vipers.

The Gearhouse Team took their time and evaluated their options thoroughly. They took into account running and lamp costs, the performance and reliability of the 72 units already in the group and finally looked at the Gearhouse Group’s philosophy to stock what is specified on riders for international acts. The decision was clear; more MAC Viper’s for the group and the order was placed.

14 Days later the 24 MAC Vipers were delivered safely in the Cape Town warehouse and ready to shine over the busy December season. Andrew Gleave, Lighting Operations Manager for the Cape Town branch was very pleased, but not without reservations over his new “toys”. All for good reason; there is every possibility that his precious cargo will be snapped up by other branches when necessary for larger events, because keeping up with demand for Vipers in the country can be difficult. It’s a nice problem to have, though.

We congratulate Gearhouse on attaining the hat trick, and wish the Cape Town lighting team of Charl, Andrew and Willie a great venture with their new Vipers and trust they will serve you well.
