MATRIX TRUCK

Matrix Corporate & Theatre Sound cc was recently presented with the challenging task of kitting out a mobile staging system with truss. The Client needed a mobile staging solution for a national road show to launch a new product.  This mobile stage had to be set up in a day and broken down in a day to get it back on the road for the next venue.  It also had to be cost effective but spectacular.

Mr Trevor Peters took delivery of his Client’s truck and together with Electrosonic provided a trussing solution using standard components of Litec truss. 

Inside the truck, a four-legged truss with rectangular truss top was installed as a fixed unit. When the truck is parked at a venue, a similar structure is easily assembled to construct a stage floor at the truck’s load bed level. Flat Litec truss was permanently installed on the specially re-enforced roof of the truck to support a video screen which can be used for either front or rear video projection. The screen structure was installed in a manner which allows the screen to be folded flat during travel.

Other truss sections fixed to sturdy Electrosonic steel base plates were provided for free standing ‘totems’ for projectors, smoke machines or lighting fixtures.
