MEDIATECH REPORT BACK

Electrosonic SA exhibited at Mediatech at the Coca-Cola Dome during July 2011.

Mediatech is the biggest exhibition of its kind in Africa and it is a great opportunity to showcase new products and meet existing as well as potential new customers not only from South Africa but from Africa.

Electrosonic showed products from Martin Professional, Kramer Electronics, Sharp Electronics and Elite Screens.

Mr Peter Skytte and Mr Peter Dahlin from Martin Professional presented “Taking LED Lighting to the next level”. This was very well attended by people interested in the Lighting industry. Mr Skytte and Mr Dahlin also spent extensive time at the Electrosonic exhibition stand, where they were available to discuss the exciting Martin Professional product range.

People visiting the stand included people from all backgrounds – from students to high profile business people, integrators and staging and event companies, television studios and houses of Worship.

“The overall feedback was overwhelming on the specific products we were showcasing. The most popular products on the lighting side were the MAC 101’s and the Martin M1 controller. Customers appreciated the fact that we were there and approved of our simplicity and the fact we did not go over the top” said Robbi Nassi.

Everyone felt that the atmosphere was highly enthusiastic and vibey and at times customers were lining up to speak to a sales person regarding all the exciting new products.

Derek Marsdon mentioned that shows are not only a place to exhibit but also to re-establish old relationships and also see what is new from the competitors. Derek was also in charge of the training sessions and due to the interest in the “Kramer in the digital age” presentation, this will now be included into all future in-depth training.
