QUATTRO PRODUCTIONS: EXCELLENCE THROUGH PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
Dynamic, innovative and passionate about his work – is how Nick Vetter, owner of Quattro Productions, describes himself. Best known in the industry as "DJ Nick" and "Nick Fusion", this leading authority in the Disc Jockey (DJ) industry has 16 years of experience and a host of accolades to his name.
EARLY DAYS
Nick's interest in the entertainment industry was fired up during his student days when he was involved in campus radio and performed as DJ in various Johannesburg clubs. As his popularity increased his DJ-ing skills were soon in demand nationwide, including gigs for Big Brother 2's famous Eviction Parties.
In 2002 La Toscana, a function venue at Montecasino, offered Nick an opportunity as Junior Technical Manager and within three years he was promoted to Senior Technical Manager. It was during this time that he started dealing with Electrosonic SA, sole South African distributor of KRAMER, a preferred product of Montecasino. At La Toscana Nick gained valuable experience through heading up the audio visual, lighting and sound aspects of major events. During this time, Nick established a part-time DJ business to keep his DJ career going. He contracted and managed 5 DJs for events while maintaining his commitment to Montecasino.
NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Since 2008 Nick has performed in Europe 2 to 3 times a year where he has become well known as "Nick Fusion". For three weeks at a time he would DJ in nightclubs in London, Paris and Amsterdam. What contributed greatly to his success was his experience in production management, covering all aspects of eventing such as audio visual, sound engineering, lighting and staging.
2010 FIFA WORLD CUP™
Nick left Montecasino early in 2010 to focus on, restructure and invest in his business. Quattro Productions was officially registered in June, just prior to the kick-off of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. He approached Electrosonic SA to purchase Martin Professional moving heads and got all his contacts and contracts in place. It turned out to be a major success with up to 11 of Quattro Productions' DJs working every night during the world cup finals.
RAPID GROWTH
By 2011 Quattro Productions had grown from the 5 clients won during the World Cup to 38 permanent clients. The calendar was filled with bookings for road shows, conferences, fashion shows, year-end functions and weddings. Apart from DJ-ing, this vibrant company excels in sound, lighting, events and full spectrum productions. "Every function has become a production at an affordable rate. We turn nobody away, regardless of the size and requirements of their function or event," says Nick.
LIGHTING THE WAY
Quattro Productions' core focus is to supply professional productions with specialised staff and equipment. Apart from already owning Martin moving heads, they recently added Martin MAC 401s to their inventory. Nick is partial to his Martin Professional lights: "Since entering the industry in 2002, I have worked with many different lighting manufacturers. Martin Professional lighting is head and shoulders above the rest regarding innovation, quality, reliability and professionalism. At Quattro Productions we aim to deliver the best service to our clients. To be the best in this competitive industry, we have to use the finest equipment".
ORGANISED EVENT DIAGNOSTICS
Quattro Productions have developed a comprehensive Event Planner that allows them to establish the exact needs each client has for his function.
For Nick Vetter there is zero compromise regarding the quality of service and the total delight of his clients. All in the quest to live up their motto: "Quattro Productions – 100% Client Satisfaction".
