Sean Rosig chooses Martin Maxxyz M1
Acting on the dire shortage of freelance lighting designers and operators with their own desks, Sean Rosig left the security of permanent employment with Gearhouse South Africa and took the plunge into freelancing almost a year ago. After six years with Gearhouse and 14 years in the rental market, Sean believed he had the knowledge and confidence to give it a go.
Sean said he needed 'a paintbrush' to interpret his vision for shows and staged events, and after considerable research and time spent behind many consoles, he chose the Martin Maxxyz M1. His choice was based on the Maxxyz M1's reliability and suitability for his requirements, and its logical and powerful software platform. Another big plus factor in his decision making was the compact size of the Maxxyz M1 , as confirmed by Bruce Schwartz of Electrosonic who received a call from Sean saying, "I'll take it if it can fit in the boot of my car."
Electrosonic s is sure of Sean's success in his new venture because not only is he an excellent lighting operator, he also offers a turnkey lighting design and conceptualization service. "We wish Sean well and many happy late nights behind his new console!" said Bruce.
