POSITION AVAILABLE: GRAPHIC & WEBSITE DESIGNER – Northcliff, JHB

Position Reports To: Marketing Manager

Industry: Audio Visual distributors and Live Events products

Salary: Market related

We have a position available for a creative person with a technical aptitude to join Electrosonic’s dynamic team at our Northcliff office, Johannesburg. Our Marketing team is looking for an experienced, energetic, positive person to do in-house graphic design (print and digital), newsletters and mailshots and updating & maintaining the company websites. Your technical skill will come in handy to maintain our email banner branding (training will be given). Oversee company and supplier branding guides

Graphic & Web design/maintenance:

  • In-house graphic design for print & digital
  • Website updating/design and maintenance (knowledge of JOOMLA would be an advantage)
  • Understand & implement SEO principles

Digital Signage:

  • Design & implement Electrosonic’s Digital Signage across our in-house displays

Email marketing & branding:

  • Design and send mailers & newsletters
  • Upload, test and assign email banners to user profiles (training will be given)

Corporate branding & general:

  • Ensure company and supplier brand guides are up to date
  • General assistance to Marketing Manager and other teams with functions / events /roadshows /tradeshows, etc.

Requirements:

  • Graphic/Digital/Web design: formal qualification & 4 yrs’ experience. Please submit a Portfolio of design work (non-negotiable)
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Position Reports To: Live Events Manager

Basic Function: To assist Clients solving technical problems. Assist and Provide Product Technical Training where needed. Build trust and relationships with clients, venues and Electrosonic Stakeholders. Stay up to date with Technology and Products within the Live Event Segment of Electrosonic.

Essential Functions:

PRODUCT TECHINCAL SUPPORT & CLIENT RELATIONS

  • Provides technical support to clients by identify/troubleshoot problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps
  • Assist in Product Training on Electrosonic Lighting Products arrange product updates, arrange loan equipment where needed.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction / after sales service
  • Maintain a working knowledge of products and services and an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect the entertainment lighting market
  • Be actively involved in product roadshows, open days and exhibitions.
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings where required
  • Assist with frontline technical support and/or facilitate more advanced technical support with the technical Support Team Members
  • Assisting with Stock Takes and Demo Equipment
  • Performs other various duties as assigned by management.
  • Be willing to work after hours and at short notice as part of a standby team.
  • Attend Live Events and Shows of Clients after hours to foster the Client relationship.

SUPPLIER TECHNICAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Liaison with Allocated Supplier/s from a Technical Perspective
  • Updating the team on product issues and tech notes, software releases as and when they occur

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess a matric certificate, related tertiary studies and/or two (2) years’ experience in a related field
  • The ability to grasp and understand the fundamentals of specialized Electronic equipment to fault find and repair Electrosonic Products in order support the Live Events customers,
  • Previous sales / business development experience in a technical sales position
  • Experience within the Live Events environment
  • Experience and knowledge of Live Events lighting and control

Basic Function: The Supply Chain Manager will direct or coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service and safety, as well as maximize customer value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. Essential Functions:

  • Manage Stock Levels
  • Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
  • Lead and develop core planning meetings, with the necessary agenda, input and outputs. Ensure effective planning, common understanding and delivery targets
  • Performs other various duties as assigned

Logistics & Inventory Control

  • Oversee the Receiving and Dispatch
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure materials and products are received on time and intact, and in the quality at the cost agreed with the client
  • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
  • Oversee the control and allocation of stock which includes Demo, Loan and standard inventory
  • Sign off credit notes / returns

Production & Procurement

  • Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
  • Design or implement warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Analyse inventories to determine how to reduce cost (without compromising on quality), increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.

Basic Function: The Sales Account Manager’s role is to develop strong relationships with a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Salary: Basic + Commission (negotiable according to experience)

Essential Functions:
  • On the road / at the client technical sales person
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealers
  • Find new opportunities, develop new business and bring in new dealers
  • Research and collect information on projects
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process including planning, prospecting & cold calling, investigation & development, presentation, negotiation and closing
  • Facilitate and liaise with Pre-Sales with regards to system designs and system specifications. Specifying equipment to match applications consisting of any/all Electrosonic SA’s product offering
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations/demos/proposals and close sales in a professional and effective manner
  • Arrange training, Arrange product updates, Arrange loan equipment
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction / after sales service
  • Maintain a working knowledge of products and services and an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect the Audio-Video market
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings where required
  • Performs other various duties as assigned

Knowledge / Experience:

  • The ability to grasp and understand the fundamentals of specialized Electronic equipment in order to sell and offer support to a dealer infrastructure.
  • Previous sales / business development experience in a technical sales position.
  • Electronic/IT qualification would be an advantage
  • AV Industry training and experience would be advantageous.
