The concept? Transform their studio into a pulsating Mini Club for a one-hour party during Roger Goode's show, inviting listeners to revel alongside Roger and the Ladies. Set on 17 August 2023, this extravaganza coincided with South Africa’s National Women’s Month, celebrating the country's remarkable women.

Taking you behind the scenes of the 5FM #RogerGoodeExperience, Electrosonic’s Lighting Team orchestrated a spectacular ambiance with an array of cutting-edge equipment.

For the event, we installed:

Martin Professional lighting:  MAC Aura XIP wash lights,  VDO Sceptrons and a Martin Rush Scanner

Versa-light - lighting solutionsUHP Wall Washes

Obsidian Control Systems: All lights were controlled by the NX1 Lighting Console Desk

The broadcast was a roaring triumph, as the Ladies revelled in an unforgettable experience.

Bruce Schwartz, Electrosonic SA’s Live Events Director, reflects, “Our mission was to infuse the studio with radiance and cultivate an exuberant DANCE VIBE for the Ladies through our dynamic lighting effects – an objective certainly accomplished. Without Lights it’s Just Radio, with Lights it’s a full-on pumping Studio Party!”

5FM Radio Station commented on their social media channels: “We had an absolute blast at our exclusive #RogerGoodeExperience ladies night studio party in honour of Women’s Month!”

A big shoutout to 5FM for inviting us to infuse the #RogerGoodeExperience ladies night party with the magic of our Martin Professional lights and the precision of the Obsidian Control Systems NX1 lighting console. We had an absolute blast!
