Designing and installing a system suspended very high above the ground and that could cope with the high level of natural ambient light in one of Cape Town’s premier shopping centres was a challenge, but one that Martin and Litec could meet.

The Fugard Theatre in Cape Town proudly bears the name of Athol Fugard, who needs little introduction as South Africa’s most significant and internationally acclaimed playwright. This year he received the ultimate recognition – a Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatre.

 

The recent Freightliner truck launch in the sand dunes at the Amphitheatre in Swakopmunt, Namibia, was an evening event dramatically lit by 12 Martin MAC Auras.  The fixtures lit the dunes, guest area and trucks as they entered the Amphitheatre.

Bruce Schwartz and Renier Smit of Electrosonic SA returned exhausted but exhilarated after attending the annual Prolight + Sound Trade Show held in March in the spacious Frankfort Messe.

This year, in honour of Martin's 25th anniversary, Bruce and Renier were accommodated at the Motel One as guests of Martin Professional, along with all their international Martin friends and colleagues, which proved to be an intense time of socialising and knowledge gathering.
